Linux Check Bind Version

I‘m running Bind name server on Linux box but I’m not sure about version. How do I check bind version under Linux operating systems?

You can simply use the following commands to check bind server version:
named -v
Here is what we see

BIND 9.3.6-P1-RedHat-9.3.6-4.P1.el5_4.2

Thanks, it worked. I was trying the following without any success:
    dig +short -c chaos -t txt @"example.com" version.bind
